Washington Butler is from Puyallup, a city who was awed by the arts from a young age. She was a member of choruses, took part in singing competitions and performed in both the local and high school theatre. After that, she relocated into Los Angeles and studied theatre at the University of Southern California. for a year and a half, she was Belle the princess of Beauty and the Beast. Her primary goal was to secure a talent agent. Then she auditioned for roles in TV as well as film. Butler made an appearance as the guest in the TV show CSI: Miami, CSI: NY. Butler started filming The Stranger Within (a psychological thriller) in Mallorca, Spain, together with Estella Ward and William Baldwin back in November 2011. In addition to New York City and Copenhagen The film was set to shoot at Copenhagen Denmark. She also became part of the crew for Treachery which was a film starring Michael Biehn. The independent feature film started filming in Los Angeles in early 2012. Butler played a role in 2013's terror film The Demented with Michael Welch as well as Kayla Ewell.
